Some of the UK’s biggest and funniest comedy names are heading to Burnley this August for a sensational night of stand-up at The Landmark Venue.
Award-winning and TV comedians Rob Rouse, Daliso Chaponda and Travis Booth-Millard will take to the stage in the stunning Great Hall at The Landmark on Saturday 29th August for what promises to be an unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment.
Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm. Tickets are priced at just £17.50 and organisers are expecting them to sell quickly. Guests will also be able to enjoy a fully stocked bar serving all their favourite drinks throughout the evening.
Opening the event is comedy powerhouse Rob Rouse, star of BBC’s Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project and Dave’s One Night Stand. Since winning the prestigious Channel 4 So You Think You’re Funny Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998, Rob has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting live performers, touring internationally for more than 27 years.
His latest show, Funny Bones, is packed with brilliantly crafted storytelling, manic energy, unforgettable characters and rapid-fire one-liners. Rob was recently crowned winner of the UK Comedy Awards Comics’ Comic Best Act 2025 and Yorkshire Comedy Awards Best Act 2025. Fellow comedian Greg Davies described him as “one of my favourite comics. A very silly and funny man.”
Joining him is internationally acclaimed comedian Daliso Chaponda, best known for appearances on Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety Performance, Britain’s Got Talent, QI, The News Quiz and The Now Show. Since reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, Daliso has become a huge favourite with audiences across the world, gaining hundreds of millions of online views thanks to his sharp wit and hugely relatable storytelling.
Daliso is also the writer, creator and host of the Rose d’Or-nominated BBC Radio 4 series Citizen of Nowhere, which has aired for four successful series. He has performed at major comedy festivals across Edinburgh, Melbourne, Singapore and Cape Town, while his UK tours have regularly sold out to rave reviews.
Completing the line-up is Travis Booth-Millard, one of the UK comedy circuit’s most exciting emerging talents. After originally pursuing acting, Travis turned to stand-up comedy and has quickly made a major impact, winning the Coggeshall Comedy Cup 2025, reaching the finals of several national competitions and being shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2024.
Comedian Nathan Caton, known for Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week, praised Travis as “a complete natural on stage. The audience is in good hands.”
Heather McCarthy, Business & Events Manager at The Landmark, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome some of the UK’s top comedians to The Landmark and to Burnley. These are performers who audiences regularly see on television on some of the funniest programmes in the country, and this is a fantastic opportunity to see them live right here in East Lancashire. It’s going to be a brilliant night of comedy and entertainment, so we’d encourage people to get their tickets now before it’s too late.”
